MCDK Update
We were at Children's Hospital last week to get a check up with neprology and an ultrasound for Lady A. All this was routine but we were very curious as to what they would say as we had not had a checkup with them since two months or an ultrasound since 5 days. 8 months old and no incident we forget she even has a condition. When you walk the halls of the hospital you are reminded how precious life is and how resilient children are. Lady A was great for the ultrasound and L came along to assist. The MCDK kidney has completly prolapsed, which they like to see. If we never knew she had a cystic kidney they would think she was just born with one kidney. This is all great news and she is very healthy, even if on the small side of the growth curve. The doctors just like to see that she is on the curve and not jumping around or falling off the charts. According to their charts she is in the 3rd percentile for weight and 10th for height, which is a bit lower than our Doctor but scales are different so they were not worried. We now do not have to go back until she is two years old. We hope we go to the next appointment with no hicuups between now and then.
